Jávea has 14 pharmacies. One is always on duty, rotating daily from 09:00 to 09:00 the next morning.

The Thursday market sells out early for the good stuff. Get there by 09:00 if you want the sourdough. Bring cash for the smaller stalls.
Bins and Recycling
General waste is collected nightly. Put your bins out after 20:00. Recycling containers are available every day at communal points throughout town.

Brown: organic / food waste
Brown organic bins are being rolled out in phases across Jávea. Not all areas have them yet.

There is no train station in Jávea. The nearest tram/train connection is in Dénia, which connects to Alicante via the TRAM network.

Jávea's two local holidays are 3 May (La Súbida de Jesús Nazareno) and 8 September (Mare de Déu de Loreto). Since 3 May falls on a Sunday in 2026, the Ajuntament may designate an alternative date. 1 November (All Saints) and 6 December (Constitution Day) both fall on Sundays in 2026.
